The Grammy Guide: First Edition
Rihanna is the Life of the (Pre) Party
It was certain to be a good night when the 51st Annual Grammy Music Awards heated up with a couple of fabulous pre-ceremony celebrations. At the Verizon Blackberry Party, Timbaland and eternal it-girl Rihanna got the crowd into high gear, setting a high bar for the night that was to follow. Rihanna performed hits such as Umbrella and Disturbia in a black sequins one piece and pair of hot pink heels as proud boyfriend Chris Brown beamed from the audience.
While pal Kanye West caught up with Rihanna at the Verizon party, Joe Jonas did little to prevent the rumors surrounding his suspected romance with Camilla Belle. As the two cuddled in a dark corner of the Boulevard 3 bar all night, an insider confirmed that YES, Joe and Miss Belle are in fact dating.
Meanwhile, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the legendary Clive Davis played host at his highly anticipated Pre-Grammy Party. Katy Perry sparkled in lavender in preparation to her live performance of I Kissed A Girl, while Miley Cyrus and the tireless Rihanna got in a little face time.
And what’s a good night without a little bit of drama? Grammy organizers scrambled right down to the wire when scheduled performers Chris Brown and Rihanna canceled their appearances at the very last minute. Who would they find to fill such a sought after spot?
